ONEART: Empowering Children Through Artistic Expression
The ONEART initiative is an inspiring art project designed to enable children with severe disabilities to express themselves creatively. The fundamental belief of ONEART is that there are no barriers in art, allowing children to share their unique perspectives and narratives through their artwork.
The Concept Behind ONEART
Under the motto of "art knows no disabilities," ONEART focuses on the individuality of each child. Professional artists collaborate with children to transform the lines and colors that these young creators generate with their movements and senses into cohesive works of art. These masterpieces are showcased at exhibitions held nationwide, where they can be rented or purchased by businesses and individuals. A portion of the proceeds will later be distributed as scholarships to the families of the children who created the artworks.
Call for Participation
ONEART is constantly seeking participation from welfare facilities, day services, and support schools across Japan. This initiative aims to connect children with society, and the organizers look forward to inviting new facilities into the fold.
Values Promoted by ONEART
ONEART champions the following values within society:
1.
Opportunity for Expression: By providing an accessible environment for children with disabilities to express themselves at their own pace.
2.
Collaboration: Professional artists help finalize the expressions created by the children, facilitating a connection to the broader society.
3.
Social Connectivity: Through exhibitions and rental displays, the project promotes a network of support and empathy within communities.
Exhibition Overview
The completed artworks will be displayed at various local exhibitions where attendees can appreciate the children's creativity. Additionally, evaluation and rental opportunities ensure that these creations reach a wider audience, fostering a sense of community.
