Lassa Expands Winter Tyre Range

Lassa, the prominent Turkish tire brand under Brisa, has recently launched its two new winter tire models, the Snoways 5 and Competus Winter 3. These additions aim to meet the evolving demands of drivers and the market in the passenger car and SUV segments. Enhancing Winter Performance with Snoways 5

The Snoways 5 has been meticulously designed to provide better control and extended performance on snowy and wet roads. Compared to its predecessor, this new model showcases improved traction on snow, performance on wet surfaces, and enhanced durability, all validated by independent TÜV testing. Notably, it achieves a higher classification in rolling resistance, which signifies reduced energy loss and promotes eco-friendly mobility. TÜV SÜD has confirmed that the Snoways 5 excels in crucial winter performance metrics, including acceleration, braking on snow, lateral grip, and aquaplaning resistance, positioning it well ahead of competitors.

Significantly, the Snoways 5 offers a 4% improvement in aquaplaning safety, 3% enhancement in acceleration on snow, and a similar percentage increase in lateral grip compared to previous models.

Competus Winter 3 - Tailored for SUVs

Expanding the winter tire offer for SUVs, the Competus Winter 3 aligns its tread design and characteristics with the unique needs of larger and heavier vehicles. Engineered specifically for SUV drivers, it delivers remarkable braking performance and stability on snowy and wet roads. This model features cutting-edge winter technology to ensure safety, handling, and increased fuel efficiency. Like the Snoways 5, it is also labeled “EV Ready,” affirming its compatibility with electric and hybrid vehicles.

Diverse Size Options to Meet Demand

In response to the growing trend of larger wheels and the popularity of SUVs, Lassa has significantly broadened its winter tire selection. The Snoways 5 is available in 46 sizes, ranging from 15 to 21 inches, while the Competus Winter 3 comes in 42 sizes, spanning from 16 to 21 inches. With this expanded lineup, Lassa aims to cover 84% of the winter tire market for European passenger cars and SUVs, and 75% for tires sized 18 inches and above.

The Snoways 5 and Competus Winter 3 will become available across all Lassa markets in the 2026 winter season.
