Introducing the 2026 Future Firefighting and Disaster Prevention Idea Contest for Youth!

Announcing the 2026 Future Firefighting and Disaster Prevention Idea Contest

We are excited to announce the launch of the 2026 Future Firefighting and Disaster Prevention Idea Contest for elementary, middle, and high school students across Japan, starting December 1, 2025. This contest is a significant evolution from our previous event, the Future Fire Truck Idea Contest, which has been running for 20 years. This year, we broaden our target audience to include middle and high school students and expand the theme to encompass a wider range of suggestions related to firefighting and disaster prevention.

The primary aim of this contest is to nurture the rich imagination of the future generation while providing them with a platform to think critically about firefighting and disaster prevention strategies. We are specifically looking for innovative ideas that could include concepts for safer operating systems for firefighters or even designs for fire trucks that are enticing for the public to ride in. We encourage participants to let their creativity flow and expect a diverse array of next-generation firefighting and disaster prevention ideas.
