Today marks the official launch of the horror game "Noroi Kago: GeGeGe no Yoru" for Nintendo Switch, developed by Toei Animation and Toydium Inc. This game, based on the beloved anime series "GeGeGe no Kitaro," promises an engaging escape survival horror experience for 1 to 4 players.

About 'Noroi Kago: GeGeGe no Yoru'

"Noroi Kago" invites players into a terrifying world where they must cooperate to evade horrifying yokai while trying to escape from a cursed domain called 'Noroi Kago'. Collaboration is key, whether you're sneaking away, hiding, or even acting as a decoy for your teammates to escape danger. Players have the option to join the fray as NPC characters as well. Additionally, it supports cross-play between Nintendo Switch and Steam, making it accessible to a broader gaming community.

Unique Gameplay Features

One standout feature is the newly added end content titled 'Yokai Hanko Book', which rewards players with unique stamps by overcoming four challenging stages: a traditional mansion, an abandoned hospital, a rural village shrouded in old customs, and a mining site. Players can earn stamps depending on their performance and the difficulty level of the yahoi they encounter. Collecting these stamps unlocks exclusive communication stamps and perks that enhance gameplay.

Introducing the 'Yokai Hanko Book'

Upon clearing the stages, players can acquire stamps based on the difficulty and the types of yokai they face. For instance, selecting 'Difficult' mode introduces the additional challenge of encountering two 'Zunberabo' simultaneously, which heightens the overall tension and difficulty of the game. Filling out the 'Yokai Hanko Book' is no easy feat and requires both strategy and teamwork.

Special Perks

The game features unique character perks obtained through the 'Yokai Hanko Book':

• - Shrinkage Talent: Achieved by collecting 15 stamps and clearing 12 stages, this perk allows the player's character to shrink and make quieter footfalls. While it may sound like a playful addition, the perk also provides practical benefits, such as decreasing the range at which other players hear footsteps and speeding up the revival process when teammates fall.

• - Yokai Transformation Talent: A more advanced perk, activated by gathering 60 stamps and completing 48 stages. This talent transforms the player's character face into that of a Zunberabo, adding another layer of psychological gameplay. Players must tread carefully, as the appearance does not grant invisibility, and being caught by enemy yokai can end the game.
