Wheels Up Expands Its Premium Fleet

Wheels Up Experience Inc., the leading global provider of on-demand private aviation, has made a significant move by signing an agreement to acquire six brand-new Embraer Phenom 300E jets. This marks a pivotal moment in the company's journey towards modernizing its fleet and enhancing customer experience.

The deal, announced on November 5, 2026, promises to support Wheels Up's ongoing growth in customer demand, particularly for its Signature membership program. The new jets are expected to be delivered in the latter half of 2027, and this acquisition is significant as it represents Wheels Up's first direct purchase of new aircraft from Embraer, a partnership that has spanned several years.

The Phenom 300 series has distinguished itself as the world's best-selling light jet for over a decade, known for its exceptional operational performance, reliability, range, and cabin comfort. With this latest order, Wheels Up will bolster its existing fleet which already includes 29 Phenom 300/300E jets and 15 Bombardier Challenger 300 series aircraft—all equipped with satellite Wi-Fi to ensure a premium flying experience.

George Mattson, CEO of Wheels Up, emphasized the importance of this fleet expansion, stating, "Having completed our fleet modernization program earlier this year, over 18 months ahead of schedule, we have seen strong growth in demand for our Signature membership offering. We have welcomed more than 1,500 Signature members to the program in its first year since launch."

The new Phenom 300E jets represent an investment in maintaining a consistent, high-end experience for customers. These aircraft will integrate seamlessly with the existing fleet, ensuring that members continue to benefit from top-tier technology and comfort during their flights. As the aviation industry evolves, Wheels Up's commitment to maintaining a fleet that meets customer expectations remains steadfast.

Wheels Up's successful transformation over the past three years includes improving operational reliability and unifying its global sales and service teams. Additionally, the company has established a strategic partnership with Delta Air Lines, enhancing the travel options available to its clientele. This growth strategy aims to scale Wheels Up's premium offering while adhering to a disciplined approach to sustainable and profitable expansion.

Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, noted the significance of this agreement as well: "This agreement marks an important milestone in our relationship with Wheels Up and reflects the work and planning that began in 2024 to bring new Phenom 300E aircraft into their fleet."

As Wheels Up continues to innovate within the private aviation industry, this latest aircraft acquisition signals its commitment to offering premium services and cutting-edge solutions to its members. The integration of the Phenom 300E jets will not only enhance the travel experiences for existing customers but will also attract new members seeking a reliable, luxe aviation service.
