Zoomlion Expands Global Presence in Mining Machinery Market Amid Rising International Revenue

In a remarkable move demonstrating its commitment to global expansion, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd., commonly referred to as Zoomlion, has announced significant growth in its mining machinery division, with international revenues surging by over 12.45% in the first half of 2026. The company's mining machinery business alone grew over 57.20% year-on-year, underscoring its robust performance and strategic positioning in the global market.

Located in Changsha, China, Zoomlion has developed an extensive portfolio of mining equipment, which includes excavators, dump trucks, and various auxiliary machinery designed for excavation, loading, transportation, crushing, and screening operations. Among their flagship models is the ZE4000G, a 400-ton mining excavator, and the ZTE520, an innovative hybrid electric mining truck with a 300-ton capacity, which showcases Zoomlion's commitment to integrating advanced technology into its equipment.

The roots of Zoomlion's innovations in mining machinery date back to 1987 when its predecessor, the Changsha Construction Machinery Research Institute, received accolades for developing a comprehensive open-pit mining system with an annual processing capacity of 10 million tons. This solid foundation has enabled Zoomlion to continue pushing boundaries in mining equipment technology.

A key driver behind the company's continued success is its relentless focus on minimizing operational costs through continuous product development and real-world testing. In the past six months, Zoomlion’s research team has conducted site visits to approximately 150 mines worldwide, identifying and addressing over 50 technical challenges. "By estimating operational costs throughout the entire lifecycle of our equipment, we ensure our customers can achieve substantial economic benefits," stated Wu Yuanfeng, the Deputy General Manager of Zoomlion Mining Machinery. Notably, the company's fully electric models can improve efficiency by cutting operational costs by more than 50%, while hybrid models have shown an increase in profitability by 15% or more, driving mining operations towards more efficient and high-quality performance.

Zoomlion is also proactive in electrifying its mining operations. Their hybrid trucks can reduce fuel consumption by up to 40%, and their battery-powered mining trucks have already clocked over 8000 hours of reliable operation. The ZT160HEV hybrid mining truck notably offers continuous autonomous operation for up to 18 hours, showcasing Zoomlion's commitment to sustainability and technological advancement.

Additionally, Zoomlion is leveraging automation and digital technologies to enhance mining productivity. Deploying autonomous trucks, remote-operated excavators, and a comprehensive fleet coordination system, the company has markedly improved operational efficiency. For instance, in a large open-pit mine in northern China, their system has reportedly increased the average daily truck trips by over 10%.

Internationally, Zoomlion has established a strong presence in various markets, with electrified equipment supplied to coal mines in Indonesia, open-pit operations in Argentina, as well as projects in Ecuador and numerous African nations. In the first half of 2026 alone, Zoomlion's international revenues reached 15.535 billion RMB, accounting for 57.25% of its total income, which establishes the company as a formidable player on the global stage with a 1.67 percentage point increase from the previous year.

To support its international aspirations, Zoomlion has strengthened its manufacturing, sales, and service capabilities locally. As of June 30, 2026, the company operated over 30 major business hubs, over 530 secondary and tertiary sales points, and more than 300 spare parts warehouses across the globe. Furthermore, their aerial work platform factory in Hungary has commenced production, while facilities in Germany have been upgraded and expanded to serve as multi-functional centers.

"Our overseas frontline operations and supporting administrative teams are now digitally connected, allowing for seamless coordination around the clock," noted Liu Jianqiang, Zoomlion's Marketing Director and Deputy General Manager for the international division.

With its mining machinery expansion and ongoing international operational growth, Zoomlion is diversifying its income streams effectively. The company is continuously developing local capabilities in foreign markets while reinforcing its position as a leader in the construction machinery industry and setting new standards for efficiency and sustainability in mining operations.
