Fukui Industry Support Center Partners with PR TIMES for Local Business Promotion

Fukui Industry Support Center and PR TIMES Collaboration

The PR TIMES Co., Ltd., based in Minato, Tokyo, has joined forces with the Fukui Industry Support Center, a public foundation located in Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture. As part of this partnership, both organizations signed a collaboration agreement, effective from May 19, 2026. The main goal of this collaboration is to support local businesses in the Fukui area by offering free press release distribution services alongside various PR seminars. This initiative aims to expand the recognition of small and medium-sized enterprises and startups tackling regional challenges within the prefecture.

Overview of the Initiative

The partnership will provide the following benefits:
1. Free Access to PR TIMES: Businesses and organizations supported by the Fukui Industry Support Center will have the opportunity to utilize PR TIMES' press release distribution services at no cost.
2. PR and Communication Seminars: The initiative includes the organization of seminars focused on public relations and effective communication strategies for local businesses.
3. Support for Information Dissemination: The Fukui Industry Support Center will receive complimentary access to PR TIMES when disseminating information related to their operations and initiatives.

Enhancing Communication for Various Industries

The Fukui Industry Support Center serves as a critical institution for economic and industrial policy in Fukui Prefecture, covering both the Reihoku and Reinan regions. It assists a diverse range of businesses, from traditional crafts and industries like eyeglasses manufacturing in Sabae to innovative startups. The center has been pivotal in supporting local entrepreneurs through various stages of growth, offering assistance in business development, technical support, digital transformation (DX) guidance, product design, and sales channel expansion.

With the new collaboration, local businesses will now have a cost-effective way to reach national media outlets, bridging the gap between small businesses and broader market recognition. This provision will empower local entrepreneurs, enabling them to share their stories and challenges with a wider audience without being hindered by limited PR budgets.

Collaboration Program Details

1. Special Program for Introduced Businesses

Under the collaboration, a special program will be offered to businesses introduced by the Fukui Industry Support Center. This program includes:
  • - Free distribution of up to three press releases via PR TIMES for a six-month period, starting from the chosen date of utilization. This will help local businesses broaden their reach and potentially attract more customers and partners.

2. PR and Communication Seminars

To improve the communication skills of local enterprises, PR TIMES will host a series of seminars on topics such as “What is PR?”, “How to Write Effective Press Releases?”, and “Utilizing PR for Business Growth.” Free attendance will be provided for any local business interested in enhancing its PR strategies.

3. Strengthening Information Dissemination for the Center

In addition to supporting local businesses, PR TIMES will also provide pro bono services to help the Fukui Industry Support Center enhance its internal and external communications. This initiative aims to assist the center in promoting various events and support initiatives, ultimately contributing to the overall branding of the Fukui area.

Growing Community Ties

This partnership marks the 108th collaboration that PR TIMES has established with regional organizations across Japan, furthering the goal of improving information flow at the local level. Over the years, PR TIMES has allied with numerous financial institutions, media outlets, and local governments, and this recent collaboration adds to its substantial regional network.

The program’s intent is to cultivate a conducive environment where local businesses can express their brand stories effectively. As commented by Jun Shirazaki, Director of the Fukui Industry Support Center, this initiative will enable local businesses to overcome hurdles related to visibility and engagement.

PR TIMES also echoed this sentiment, with the belief that by empowering these local entities, it can elevate their presence not only within the region but also on a national level, showcasing Fukui's vibrant entrepreneurial spirit.
