Yayoiken Takamatsu North Shop Reopens with New Design Concept

Yayoiken Takamatsu North Shop's Renovation

On January 22nd, Yayoiken, a popular Japanese set meal restaurant chain owned by Plenus Co., Ltd., reopened its Takamatsu North shop after a significant renovation. This restaurant is part of a network that has expanded to 365 locations across Japan as of December 2025.

The newly redesigned Takamatsu North shop reflects the fresh brand image introduced in December 2023, including a new logo and symbol. The establishment's interior features a high-quality aesthetic characterized by modern interpretations of traditional Japanese elements. Notable design components include a minimalist logo sign, a modern noren (a traditional fabric divider), and wall coverings that pay homage to the history of the name Yayoiken, which references the original “Yayoi Ken.” These features create an inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.

Customers are offered enhanced convenience with the introduction of tablets placed at tables for ordering, allowing them to leisurely browse the menu. The restaurant also boasts an all-you-can-eat station, where customers can refill rice, dashi (soup stock), and pickled vegetables, a beloved feature of the Yayoiken dining experience.

New Logo and Branding Elements

The revitalized logo employs a modern, round-edged serif font that artfully blends Japanese characters with Latin alphabets and symbols, ensuring instant recognition both domestically and internationally. The symbol incorporates the letters 'Y', 'Y', and 'I' from 'YAYOI,' crafted into a noren design, with the character for 'yayo' written in hiragana placed at the bottom right, emphasizing the traditional fabric's essence.

The color palette features 'Yayo Red,' symbolizing the sun's aspirations, passionate challenges towards the future, and warm interactions with customers. Complementing this is 'Yayo Wakakusa,' representing the rebirth of nature in springtime, reflecting the freshness of ingredients and the quality of dining experiences Yayoiken aims to deliver.

Tagline
