Revamping the Web Media TOKK
In a significant move to renew its digital presence, Iridge and its subsidiary Qoil have joined hands to support the revitalization of "TOKK," a web media focused on information dissemination along the Hankyu Line. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the content and user experience for local residents and visitors in the Kansai region, which includes Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Shiga, Nara, and Wakayama.
Background of the Renewal
Initially operating as a free paper, TOKK has now evolved to provide a more robust value proposition. On November 25, 2025, it will be rebranded as "TOKK Kansai." The renewed platform will not only focus on the Hankyu and Hanshin lines but will also cover a broader geographical area reflecting the interests of its residents and visitors seeking destinations in Kansai. The decision to revamp TOKK stems from a desire to transform it into an independent media entity providing fresh and engaging content.
Iridge and Qoil's Role in the Revitalization
Iridge and Qoil have taken a comprehensive approach to this project, crafting a communication strategy that aligns with the independent media business model. Their responsibilities included creating a high-quality UI/UX design and a user-friendly CMS. These elements were essential in ensuring that visitors have an enjoyable experience while navigating through the website.
User Interface and Experience (UI/UX)
The homepage of the revamped site is designed to showcase a variety of content such as new articles, rankings, partnerships, and categories, all on a single page. With an increasing number of articles, it was crucial that users could quickly access necessary information through an intuitive interface. The top section of the website is cleverly designed to maintain user orientation, utilizing color-coded backgrounds to help users understand the content structure easily while scrolling.
Additionally, rather than cramming information into a compact space, the design emphasizes a comfortable reading experience with ample white space and a calming layout rhythm. This approach allows for clear prioritization of various articles while minimizing scrolling, ultimately creating a more pleasant user experience that accommodates extended visits.
CMS Design for Diverse Content Creation
The Content Management System (CMS) is tailored to support a range of local writers, ensuring that TOKK Kansai can effectively display its unique appeal. The design facilitates easy updates and operations, allowing contributors to provide in-depth information for residents and essential travel tips for visitors. The content includes must-visit places, delicious local cuisine, and important events in the Kansai area, thus providing a robust foundation for community engagement and information sharing.
Future Prospects
Moving forward, Iridge and Qoil are committed to leveraging their collaborative strengths, offering an end-to-end service that encompasses strategy formulation, execution, development, production, and promotional support. This strategic approach aims to ensure the continued growth and success of TOKK Kansai as an independent media outlet.
