On November 18, 2025, GAC held a grand ceremony in Sydney, officially introducing its brand alongside three innovative vehicle models. This momentous event signifies the company's strategic entry into the Australian market, under the banner of its local strategy dubbed "GAC: Building Trust with Australians." This move marks a pivotal point in realizing GAC's global initiative, "ONE GAC 2.0," tailored specifically for Australia and the broader Pacific region.

Wei Haigang, President of GAC INTERNATIONAL, remarked on the company's long-term commitment, stating, "We are here with a dedication to integrate with Australia while serving its people and contributing to its economy." The ambition is clear: to deliver green, smart, and enjoyable mobility experiences to Australian customers, earning a reputation as a trustworthy brand in the competitive automotive landscape.

During the unveiling, GAC showcased three strategic flagship models to Australian consumers: the spacious AION V smart SUV, the country’s first luxury plug-in hybrid MPV, the M8 PHEV, and the innovative EMZOOM smart SUV. These vehicles represent a diverse range of mobility solutions, from fully electric to plug-in hybrid and traditional fuel options, tailored to meet various needs, including urban commuting, family journeys, and professional use.

Future Expansion Plans


Looking ahead, GAC has ambitious plans over the next five years to introduce more than ten new models across segments including sedans, SUVs, vans, and trucks. This expansion will not only diversify GAC's offerings but also cater to the evolving tastes of Australian consumers.

The establishment of the Australian subsidiary is already underway, complete with the launch of nine initial sales and service points. GAC aims to grow its footprint significantly, targeting the rollout of over 100 dealerships covering key regions and cities throughout Australia in the coming years.

In terms of customer support, GAC has rolled out its "GAC Care" service model, featuring competitive advantages such as a seven-year unlimited mileage warranty on vehicles and an eight-year unlimited mileage warranty on batteries. In the emerging energy ecosystem, GAC plans to collaborate with local dealerships to provide both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) charging stations at dealer sites. New energy vehicle customers will also benefit from complimentary home chargers as well as solutions for emergency charging, thereby enhancing the green mobility ecosystem in Australia.
