Experience the Exciting Free Trial of Respon Quiz's Video Participation Feature!

Exciting New Features at Respon Quiz

In an initiative to enhance event experiences, Respon Co., based in Tokyo, has launched a free trial campaign for the video participation feature in its event-oriented buzzer quiz service, Respon Quiz. This innovative feature allows participants to appear on the venue’s projector screen in real-time using their smartphones or PCs.

As we head into a season filled with participatory events such as New Year parties, kick-offs, and onboarding ceremonies, combining buzzer quizzes with video participation can elevate the overall atmosphere, creating a unified event experience for everyone involved.

What is the Video Participation Feature?

The video participation function, an optional feature in Respon Quiz, enables event organizers to request video appearances from selected participants on the ranking screen. The ranking screen conveniently displays:
  • - Speed rankings for each question answered correctly
  • - Overall score rankings
  • - Speed rankings for incorrect answers

Organizers can effortlessly send participation requests by simply clicking a video camera button next to the name of the chosen participant. Upon receiving the request, the participant’s smartphone automatically shifts to a response screen. A single tap on the response button initiates their video participation process. Organizers also have the ability to manage audio settings, toggling sound on or off as needed.

Furthermore, users don’t have to worry about installing a dedicated app; all they need is access via their smartphone's browser, making it straightforward for everyone, whether they’re using a smartphone, tablet, or camera-equipped PC. Check out this introductory video for more details: Video Introduction.

Engaging the Audience through Video Requests

When a video participation request comes in, the participant’s smartphone screen displays the request notification. Tapping the button starts the video feed, allowing their self-recorded image to be projected on the ranking screen.

Campaign Duration

From January 2026 to the end of April, customers using Respon Quiz during events will benefit from a free trial of the normally paid video participation feature, significantly enhancing event interactions at no additional cost.

Versatile Application in Events

The potential use cases for video participation extend beyond just the top-ranking quiz players. Anyone engaged in the quiz can be featured, paving the way for a multitude of creative interactions.

For instance, organizers might request video commentary from a participant who was leading until the last moment, or invite the 20th contestant to comment during a special 20th anniversary event. This flexibility accommodates interviews with participants who might have answered incorrectly or simply allows any engaged participant to share their experiences.

Online and hybrid events, as well as in-person gatherings, will find the experience of self-projection on a large screen especially memorable for attendees.

While a participant is engaged in video after answering incorrectly, an 'X' mark will denote their status on the screen, adding to the fun and competitive element of the quiz.

Capitalizing on Social Media Trends

Given the prevalence of social media making self-portrait photography a daily activity, it’s easy to engage quiz participants and elicit genuine, joyful reactions through this innovative video participation mechanism. Introducing this unique blend of buzzer quiz and video involvement is an opportunity not to be missed; it promises to deliver a fresh and exciting event experience!
