HALLOMEME: A Night of Blockchain Culture and Entertainment
On September 23, 2025, MemeCore hosted a transformative event called "HALLOMEME: Ride Until Next Morning" during the Korean Blockchain Week (KBW) at Lotte World Adventure in Seoul. This side event brought together approximately 5,000 guests, showcasing a unique fusion of blockchain technology with popular culture.
MemeCore, recognized for being the first Layer 1 blockchain dedicated to Meme 2.0, aimed to break the traditional mold of cryptocurrency-focused gatherings. Unlike typical events that cater to developers and investors, HALLOMEME invited the general public to immerse themselves in the world of Web3. Over 300 security personnel ensured a safe and orderly environment, reflecting the event's scale and ambition.
From 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., the venue was transformed into a vibrant festival atmosphere. Hosted by personalities Lee Yong Ju and Park Se Mi from Psick Univ, attendees enjoyed electrifying performances from popular artists like Jay Park, Chungha, GRAY, Zion.T, and Giriboy. To add to the excitement, a grand lucky draw featuring substantial prizes heightened the audience's anticipation and engagement.
The HALLOMEME event stood out due to its commitment to accessibility and enjoyment. Many participants were overheard questioning, "Is this really a crypto event?" This curiosity underscored how the event successfully bridged the gap between technology and entertainment, making blockchain approachable and relatable for everyone. Guests were required to pre-register via the Luma platform, while entry was exclusive to holders of the $M token, emphasizing the event's focus on community and engagement.
A highlight included a mission featuring QR stamps across 12 different rides, allowing attendees to explore the functionalities of blockchain wallets in a playful, game-like context rather than treating them merely as financial tools. The combination of thrilling amusement rides and K-culture elements created a rich tapestry of experiences that resonated with both local and international attendees, fostering a genuine cultural exchange.
The success of HALLOMEME was bolstered by collaborations with prominent partners from both Web2 and Web3 sectors, including T1, Peaches, One Universe, 433, Vonaer, SuperStory, EVOS, and BC Card. This collaboration exemplified a new model where memes, fandom intellectual property, and esports converge, establishing HALLOMEME as one of the highlights of KBW 2025.
Among the attendees were several industry voices, including Josh Ahn, COO of T1; Xie Jiayin, Head of Greater China at Bitget; Smokey, CEO of Berachain; Ryo, CEO of Peaches; and Victor, Co-Founder of Manta Network. Their presence highlighted the event's international relevance as a nexus for leaders in both Web2 and Web3 spaces.
Jun, the CEO of MemeCore, expressed, "HALLOMEME was not just another crypto meetup. It was a convergence of culture, entertainment, and esports where the two worlds came together distinctively. The energy we felt underscored the mainstream adoption that Web3 is experiencing. We will continue to develop our Meme 2.0 vision through engaging cultural experiences rather than mere speculation."
