KAGUZUCHI Shines at STAR ISLAND 2026
This evening marks a significant event for the fire performance group KAGUZUCHI, as they take the stage at STAR ISLAND 2026 held at Odaiba Seaside Park. Known for their captivating entertainment that merges fire and light, KAGUZUCHI has successfully completed their final rehearsal last night despite challenging weather conditions, including strong winds on an offshore float. Thanks to meticulous safety protocols and teamwork, all performance programs were executed flawlessly, ensuring a safe and thrilling experience for tonight's audience.
Overcoming Difficult Conditions with Exceptional Safety Management
The rehearsal was held under highly demanding circumstances, with the performance area approximately 60 meters from the audience, limited space on the floating stage, and strong winds present. Nevertheless, KAGUZUCHI's pre-planned strategy, specialized wind and water protection measures, along with an expert safety management support team, allowed them to successfully clear these trials without any incidents. Their strict adherence to fire safety standards demonstrated their ability to perform safely and reliably in various natural conditions—an essential quality proven just before the show.
Highlighting Innovation: Fire Breath and Spark Drivers
Unlike past performances that took place on sandy beaches, this year's water stage introduces cutting-edge techniques. KAGUZUCHI plans to use customized flame jets and an extraordinary rain of sparks to create an unforgettable culinary experience. The reflections of these flames and lights on the black ocean surface promise to deliver an overwhelming scale and dynamism that rivals fireworks and drone displays within the entire venue.
Behind-the-Scenes Encounter with Magician Cyril
The event also brought an unexpected surprise with renowned magician Cyril, who visited the backstage as an “intern” before the main event. Known for incorporating fire into his own performances, Cyril exhibited keen interest in the control of flames and equipment operation used by KAGUZUCHI, eager to learn about their innovative practices.
Comments from KAGUZUCHI's Representative: Hideyuki Izumi
"Though our fields may differ, it's genuinely exciting to connect with a fellow 'fire enthusiast' and expand our community. The interest shown by prominent figures like him is incredibly motivating for us. With weather concerns entirely behind us, our team is impeccably prepared for this evening's show. Look forward to witnessing the 'fire on water' descending upon Tokyo Bay!"
