Memories Matter: A Collaborative Campaign between Morinaga Milk and Kuradashi

Cherish Your Memorable Moments with Morinaga Milk and Kuradashi

In an inspiring collaboration, Morinaga Milk and Kuradashi aim to underscore the significance of preserving cherished memories. As part of this initiative, they are inviting individuals from all walks of life to share anecdotes that represent their most unforgettable experiences. This heartwarming campaign reflects a shared belief that memories shape our identities and our happiness.

About Kuradashi

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Kuradashi operates a social good marketplace that strives to tackle food waste. With a mission to continually act as a social good company, Kuradashi contributes to reducing food waste by purchasing food that is still consumable but often discarded due to imminent expiration dates, packaging flaws, or natural disasters. Their approach not only champions sustainability but also ensures that these food items reach consumers at affordable prices. A portion of their sales is reinvested into various social causes, supporting medical aid, environmental protection, disaster relief, and more initiatives aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Morinaga Milk’s Legacy

Morinaga Milk Industry, established in 1917, has been dedicated to researching intestinal bacteria for over 50 years, focusing on the correlation between gut health and brain function—often referred to as the gut-brain axis. This cutting-edge research highlights the importance of a healthy gut in enhancing mental well-being and provides an innovative perspective on nutrition and health. Guided by their core philosophy of contributing to a healthier and happier society through delicious and beneficial products, Morinaga continuously innovates to meet the needs of its consumers.

The Campaign: Sharing Your Unforgettable Memories

From September 30 to October 31, 2023, individuals are encouraged to submit stories about their memorable moments through a dedicated online portal. Once received, these narratives will be showcased on a special webpage. Selected stories will even be transformed into outdoor advertisements at locations significant to the memories shared, thus bringing personal stories into the community consciousness.

Story Examples

The campaign seeks relatable stories—moments that encapsulate why we hold certain memories dear. Whether it’s the birth of a child, a loved one’s smile, the scent of summer, or a friend’s trademark catchphrase, each experience adds texture to our lives and deserves to be remembered. By inviting the public to contribute, Kuradashi and Morinaga Milk foster a greater understanding of the role memories play in our personal histories.

Engaging the Public

In addition to the memory submissions, the initiative will highlight the work of social creators such as manga artist Keita Uehara and legendary storyteller Emma Maeda, who will share their own valued memories and experiences. This involvement underscores the campaign's aim to not only collect personal memories but also to initiate a larger conversation about the value of memories in our lives.

The personal stories collected will serve as a reminder to everyone about the beauty of moments worth remembering. In a fast-paced society, this campaign encourages reflection on what truly matters to each of us.

Join the Movement

To participate, visit the application form and share your stories. Become part of a meaningful movement that recognizes and honors the memories that shape us all.

Both Morinaga Milk and Kuradashi hope that this initiative not only helps you recall special moments from your life but also ignites a broader reflection on the importance of memories in our journey through life. Together, let's celebrate and cherish the memories that make us who we are.
