REVER Launches the Million Mile Challenge for Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
In a remarkable initiative, REVER, the leading motorcycle GPS app and community, has unveiled the return of its highly anticipated Million Mile Challenge. This event, which runs from July 1 to September 13, 2026, aims to consolidate support for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) and enhance the national Ride for Kids program. This initiative is not just about leading the ride; it's about transforming the miles logged by riders into vital funding for childhood brain cancer research and support for affected families.
The Million Mile Challenge beckons motorcycle enthusiasts nationwide to participate by tracking their miles with the REVER app. Every mile logged will translate directly into essential funding for pediatric brain tumor research and related programs, culminating on the impactful Ride for Kids Day, which sees motorcyclists converge across the country for a common cause.
This year's challenge has garnered a significant boost through a partnership with Alpinestars, a renowned manufacturer in the motorcycling industry, which has committed to donating 1.25 cents per mile recorded. With a ceiling of $15,000 for contributions, Alpinestars is not walking this journey alone; other industry partners, including Biltwell, Cardo Systems, and Pirelli, have also stepped in to enhance the campaign's impact. Biltwell has pledged $5,000 through a half-cent per mile donation mechanism, while Cardo Systems and Pirelli are equally contributing $5,000 each, ensuring that every mile rider logs fuels financial support for the PBTF and families confronting pediatric brain cancer challenges.
"The Million Mile Challenge embodies the belief that every ride can serve a greater purpose," articulated Bjorn Bredeson, REVER's Director of Marketing and Mobile Applications. He further emphasized that through REVER's ethos of 'Make Every Ride Count,' the initiative succeeds in transforming ordinary motorcycle rides into actionable support for families navigating the trials of childhood brain tumors. The collaboration with industry stalwarts like Alpinestars amplifies the campaign's reach, allowing it to grow in significance and effect.
Since its partnership with PBTF began in 2019, REVER has fortified its commitment toward raising awareness and funds for this cause. The collective goals have expanded through Comoto, the parent company of brands including RevZilla, Cycle Gear, JP Cycles, and REVER, further enriching the support for Ride for Kids since 2021. What began as a grassroots effort continues to foster a community-driven fundraising model uniting motorcycle enthusiasts under a singular mission.
"The Ride for Kids community shows the incredible strength that emerges when motorcyclists rally together for a cause greater than themselves," shared Alissa Karas, PBTF's Director of Peer-to-Peer Fundraising. She underlined that initiatives like the Million Mile Challenge transform the joy of riding into critical help for families confronting the stark realities of childhood brain tumors while simultaneously propelling vital research forward.
In addition to the Million Mile Challenge, Comoto is reinforcing its commitment by hosting an annual Ride for Kids Bike Meet Charity Drive in September. On Ride for Kids Day, the company plans to donate 10% of all in-store and online sales—capped at $100,000—while encouraging grassroots fundraising efforts throughout its digital and retail platforms.
The Million Mile Challenge is not only a standalone initiative but it serves as a precursor to Comoto's 'Ride With Us' Ride for Kids activation in September, linking summer riding participation with end-of-season fundraising opportunities within the powersports community.
Alpinestars’ role as a presenting sponsor accentuates the motorcycle industry's unwavering commitment to support PBTF, with the company eager to explore future collaborations that reflect the biking community’s collective responsibility towards families affected by pediatric brain tumors.
“Alpinestars is honored to champion the Million Mile Challenge and to channel the spirit of riding into impactful contributions,” stated JP Nation, Alpinestars' Key Accounts Manager. This endeavor not only aligns with Alpinestars' core values but also signifies a united front in the fight against pediatric brain tumors.
Participation in the REVER Million Mile Challenge comes at no cost and is open to riders everywhere. Participants can conveniently track their miles through the REVER app, and those who wish to support the PBTF further can donate directly via their website.
