Ball Corporation Celebrates Appointment of New Presidents for Beverage Packaging Divisions
In an important development within the industry, Ball Corporation (NYSE: BALL), a global leader in sustainable aluminum packaging, has announced key leadership appointments for its Beverage Packaging business units in North and Central America, as well as Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Effective immediately, Carey Causey steps into the role of Senior Vice President and President for Beverage Packaging North and Central America, following the previous leadership of Kathleen Pitre. Furthermore, Scott Vail has been appointed as Senior Vice President and President for Beverage Packaging EMEA. Vail will succeed Mandy Glew, who has opted for retirement, effective January 2027.
This shift in leadership is significant for Ball Corporation as it underscores the company's commitment to promoting individuals with proven expertise in their respective fields. Carey Causey brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having previously held several leadership roles since joining Ball in 2014. Notably, she served as President for Beverage Packaging EMEA between 2021 and 2024, making her well-versed in the complexities of operational execution across varied markets. Her extensive background also includes significant roles in marketing, strategy, and business development throughout the Americas and EMEA.
On the other hand, Scott Vail has a robust track record in operations and supply chain management. Since obtaining the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer in 2025, he has steered Ball’s global manufacturing and operational excellence sectors. Vail's journey with the company began in 2021 when he took the lead as Vice President for Operations in Beverage Packaging North and Central America. His prior experiences as President of Metal Container Corporation and in various engineering and operational strategy roles at AB InBev further bolster his qualifications for leading the EMEA division.
These appointments come at a crucial time as Ball Corporation emphasizes disciplined execution and sustainable value creation within its global operations. CEO Ron Lewis expressed confidence in both Causey and Vail, citing their extensive commercial and operational backgrounds, which aligns well with Ball’s corporate values. He remarked, "Carey and Scott are the right leaders to take these two important business units forward. They both have proven track records, deep commercial and operational experience, and leadership values aligned with Ball's. I am confident they will build on the strong foundations in each region, deepen our customer partnerships, and deliver results."
Additionally, Lewis recognized the contributions of outgoing leaders Kathleen Pitre and Mandy Glew, noting their impact on Ball Corporation and wishing them well in their future endeavors.
