Kyoritsu Maintenance Welcomes Future Employees
On October 1, 2025, Kyoritsu Maintenance, under the leadership of President Koji Nakamura, held an innovative reception event for 142 new graduates set to join the company in April 2026. This event marked a shift from traditional formal ceremonies to a more casual gathering aimed at fostering engagement and easing the concerns of new hires.
Background of the Event
Historically, Kyoritsu Maintenance had conducted welcome ceremonies in a formal setting. However, feedback from previous new hires indicated a desire for a more relaxed atmosphere that fostered connections with peers and executives. Responding to these insights, Kyoritsu transformed this year’s event into a party format, encouraging interaction and understanding among prospective employees more freely.
Highlights of the Reception Event
An Ice-Breaking Experience
Upon arrival, the new hires exhibited signs of nervousness, but this soon dissipated during various interactive activities, including quizzes related to the company's business. The team-building exercises were particularly effective, sparking lively conversations and helping the new hires to bond. This interaction not only alleviated tensions but also allowed future colleagues to form a sense of camaraderie before joining the company.
Engaging Dialogues with Executives
One of the key objectives of the event was the opportunity for substantive interactions between executives and new employees. Company leaders visited each table for informal discussions, encouraging new hires to ask candid questions about career development and workplace expectations. This interaction allowed the prospective employees to gain valuable insights from their future leaders, amplifying their understanding of both the company and their anticipated career paths.
Message from President Koji Nakamura
In his speech, President Nakamura acknowledged the challenges faced by the new graduates during the tumultuous hiring landscape affected by COVID-19. He expressed gratitude to the attendees for choosing Kyoritsu Maintenance from among numerous companies.
