This summer, Tokyo is taking significant steps to provide middle and high school students with hands-on experience in various professions. Responding to the demand for job experiences that will help shape their futures, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced a recruitment initiative for students wishing to participate in summer job experiences.
Job EX: Connecting Students with Companies
In conjunction with the announcement, a new matching platform called
"TOKYO中高生職業体験サイト Job EX" has been launched. This unique platform aims to connect students with a diverse range of companies and organizations offering job experience programs. The Job EX website will feature various programs in multiple industries, allowing students to explore their interests and gain valuable insights into the professional world.

Established within the
Kodomo Smile Movement website, the platform serves as a dedicated page for job experience recruitment.
- - Program Highlights: The website will not only advertise job experience programs from a wide array of companies but will also host content produced by student reporters. These reporters will visit different organizations, share their experiences, conduct interviews, and provide insights into the companies’ efforts in various aspects, including social responsibility.
Recruitment Period for Job Experience Participants
- - First Phase: Programs scheduled from July 28 to August 10, 2025. Applications will be accepted from July 4 to July 16, 2025, up until 11:59 PM.
- - Second Phase: Programs running from August 11 to August 31, 2025. The application window opens from July 19 to August 1, 2025, also until 11:59 PM.
Companies Participating in the Program
The initiative includes a broad spectrum of over
40 companies and organizations ranging from large corporations to startups. Participating organizations will host students in their Tokyo headquarters or operational sites.
Content of Job Experience Programs
Participants will engage in various activities, such as:
