Enjoy the Essence of Japanese Tea with Starbucks' New Offerings
As the early summer season approaches, Starbucks Coffee Japan is excited to announce the launch of three new tea beverages merging the rich flavors of
sencha and
matcha. This new tea experience will commence on April 1, 2026, at 28 select Starbucks Tea & Cafe locations nationwide.
A Perfect Blend of Sencha and Matcha
Starbucks has crafted these beverages with respect for Japan's tea culture, focusing on the unique characteristics of
sencha and
matcha. By combining various tea leaves for a flavorful
sencha blend, the brand aims to present options that highlight both the refreshing zest of sencha and the deep umami of matcha—all while offering a novel experience to tea lovers.
Sencha Matcha Tea Frappuccino® with Warabi Mochi
One of the standout drinks is the
Sencha Matcha Tea Frappuccino® with Warabi Mochi. This beverage includes a carefully extracted sencha-infused blend tea combined with matcha and features delectable warabi mochi. Topped with creamy frozen milk and a luxurious black sugar mousse, this drink is finished with black sugar syrup and kinako (roasted soybean flour) to create a delightful drink reminiscent of fine Japanese sweets.
Sencha Matcha Green Tea Sparkling
For those seeking something lively, the
Sencha Matcha Green Tea Sparkling provides a refreshing soda experience. This drink combines the meticulously brewed sencha-blended tea and matcha with tonic water, enhanced by Starbucks’ signature green citrus syrup. The resulting beverage has delightful notes of earthy matcha, invigorating sencha aroma, and a refreshing hint of citrus, making it a perfect companion for any occasion.
Sencha Matcha Craft Tea Latte
The
Sencha Matcha Craft Tea Latte highlights the artistry of tea preparation. Using expertly brewed sencha tea leaves combined with milk, this drink is meticulously crafted using a tea strainer, resulting in a creamy and satisfying latte. The inclusion of matcha powder as a garnish brings a rich depth to the drink, offering a soothing experience perfect for those peaceful moments.
Celebrate the Season with Japanese Tea
As spring ushers in the season for fresh tea, these innovative beverages offer an exciting way for people to experience matcha in a refreshing new light. This April, indulge in the delightful essence of Japanese tea with Starbucks’ latest offerings and treat yourself to the revitalizing spirit of spring.
Additional Offerings
In conjunction with these new drinks, Starbucks Tea & Cafe will also feature delightful desserts in partnership with Princi®. The highlighted treat is
Torta Pesca Rossa, a cake made with sweet red peaches perfectly balanced with a crunchy crust. Paired with the
Rwanda Black Tea, this dessert accentuates the light malt aroma and honey-like sweetness, enriching the overall tasting experience.
