GAC Launches New Local Strategy in Australia with Three Models, Ushering in a New Era in the South Pacific

On November 18, 2025, GAC held a significant ceremony in Sydney to announce its branding and new vehicle models in Australia, officially rolling out its local strategy named "GAC Growing Trust in Australia." This event marks a pivotal step in translating GAC’s global strategy, "ONE GAC 2.0," into regional action, signifying the dawn of a new chapter in GAC's development within the Australian market and the broader South Pacific region.

During the launch, Wei Haigang, President of GAC INTERNATIONAL, reaffirmed GAC's long-term commitment to Australia, stating, "GAC is here with a long-term engagement. We will adhere to our principles of being 'In Australia, for Australia, integrated with Australia, serving Australia, and contributing to Australia.' Our goal is to provide Australian customers with environmentally friendly, intelligent, and enjoyable mobility, establishing a trusted brand in this market."

As a highlight, GAC introduced three strategic flagship models to Australian consumers: the spacious intelligent SUV AION V, the first luxury plug-in hybrid MPV M8 PHEV, and the trendy intelligent SUV EMZOOM. These vehicles collectively present a comprehensive array of mobility solutions, ranging from fully electric to plug-in hybrid and fuel options, catering to diverse needs from urban commuting to family travels and business use. GAC also plans to launch over ten additional models in the next five years, including sedans, SUVs, pickups, and vans.

In terms of expanding its leadership network, GAC's Australian subsidiary has commenced operations with nine initial sales and service locations. The plan is to extend this network to more than 100 dealerships over the next five years, ensuring coverage across key regions and major cities in Australia. For the development of its service system, GAC has introduced the "GAC Care" service model, showcasing superior offerings such as a seven-year vehicle warranty with unlimited mileage and an eight-year battery warranty with unlimited mileage.

Additionally, GAC will implement its global sales and service standard, GSSW, which ensures a high-quality customer experience across appointments, reception, maintenance, vehicle handover, and follow-up services. As part of the new energy ecosystem, GAC is collaborating with local dealers to provide both DC and AC charging services at dealer locations. Customers of new energy vehicles will receive complimentary home chargers and emergency charging solutions, fostering an ecosystem of eco-friendly mobility in Australia.

With nine trading partners already on board, GAC has officially started its journey in the Australian market. Together, they are striving to establish a vibrant ecosystem for environmentally friendly mobility, delivering a smarter and superior mobility experience to local consumers.
