New Local Voucher Program Launched in Narita

Times 24, Inc. from Shinagawa, Tokyo, has teamed up with the Narita City Tourism Association to introduce a new initiative aimed at boosting local tourism. Starting May 15, visitors and residents alike will be able to exchange Times Points—earned through the Times Club membership— for “Narita Area Common Vouchers.” This program not only promotes the usage of Times Points but also drives consumer spending in the Narita area.

Understanding Times Points

The Times Points are part of a member-based, no-fee service designed to provide benefits to automotive users. Points can be accumulated through various services, including Times Parking, Times Car rentals, and more. With the newly launched initiative, these points can now be transformed into vouchers usable at select local shops and facilities.

How the Voucher System Works

The Narita Area Common Vouchers can be obtained by visiting specific locations where Times Points Exchange Machines are installed. For every 200 Times Points accumulated, members can receive 200 yen worth of vouchers. The initiative embraces local businesses, with 45 shops and facilities across Narita participating, including the longstanding Japanese sweet shop “Nagomi no Komeya” and “Sawada Tsukemono”, known for its famous pickles.

Exciting Incentives from May to October

To further entice participation, from May 15 to October 31, around 20 participating stores will feature QR codes on promotional posters. Scanning these codes allows Times Club members to receive additional Times Points, through the Narita Excursion Campaign. Every participant can earn a maximum of 600 Times Points, with each facility offering between 10 to 50 Points, further enhancing the voucher’s value.

Expansion of Local Initiatives

This initiative marks the second phase of Times 24’s voucher programs, following the successful launch of the Atami Area Common Vouchers in August 2023. Moving forward, Times 24 aims to expand such local voucher programs, creating more opportunities for members to enjoy tourism affordably while contributing to local economies.
