In a strategic move to solidify its international presence, ChangAn Automobile has officially launched its brands—CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR—in Europe. This significant introduction occurred on March 21, 2025, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the EU. This milestone marks a new phase in ChangAn's ambitious "Vast Ocean Plan," which aims to establish the company as a global leader in smart and low-carbon mobility solutions.

Since initiating the Vast Ocean Plan in April 2023, ChangAn has rapidly evolved its global strategy. The company has made considerable strides in establishing its brand presence beyond China, with previous expansions to Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa throughout 2024. The establishment of a German subsidiary in September 2024 further underscores the company's commitment to tapping into the European market.

ChangAn operates multiple production bases across China and the Asia-Pacific region, which supports its extensive research and development network spanning ten countries with a workforce of 18,000 experts. This global network plays a vital role in supporting ChangAn's growth and collaboration initiatives.

The results of these efforts are evident, as ChangAn recorded impressive international sales figures—536,196 vehicles sold in 2024, representing a 49.6% increase year-on-year. Furthermore, sales in January 2025 reached 62,016 units, showing a 10% rise compared to the previous year.

Entering the European market in 2003, ChangAn established a design center in Europe aimed at blending global design trends with its international R&D capabilities. By integrating research, production, and sales, ChangAn has cultivated significant brand loyalty in Europe. This presence enhances R&D efforts and enables the company to address local market needs effectively, with technical centers playing a crucial role in driving innovation through European automotive expertise.
