Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo Unveils 'The Kennedys' 2025 Program
Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo, a renowned international advertising agency, has officially announced the launch of their creative development program called
'The Kennedys', aimed specifically at students. This year's program, taking place during the summer, will be themed
'Blue Butt', emphasizing the growth potential that comes with being young and inexperienced.
The essence of
'The Kennedys' goes beyond just being an internship or a typical educational experience. Named after Wieden+Kennedy’s founder David Kennedy, this initiative provides a hands-on learning environment where participants can unleash their creativity in the midst of a vibrant and challenging cultural landscape. First initiated in Wieden+Kennedy's Amsterdam office back in 2011, it has expanded internationally to include locations in London, São Paulo, and Shanghai. Graduates of previous programs have successfully gone on to work in various branches of Wieden+Kennedy and beyond.
In Tokyo, the program will select
5 to 10 students who will form teams to learn how to make an impact on a global scale through their creativity. The central theme for 2025,
'Blue Butt', is rooted in the philosophy that the best time for growth is when one is still a novice. Despite its cheeky name, the theme reflects a playful spirit and a zest for challenge that Wieden+Kennedy embodies.
Embrace Your Youth with 'Blue Butt'
The theme,
'Blue Butt', touches on exploring one's potential during their formative years. Being inexperienced is not viewed as a shortcoming; rather, it’s seen as an opportunity filled with endless possibilities. It's a space where making mistakes is not just allowed, but encouraged. This is all part of the learning process, where participants are invited to experiment, think creatively, and push boundaries throughout the stimulating summer.
Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo truly believes that participants do not need to be flawless; instead, it's about engaging in the creative process, learning from each other, and growing together. Just imagine how much you can evolve during this summer, where mistakes could spark brilliant ideas!
