JAS Achieves Platinum Medal in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment

JAS Worldwide, a prominent leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, has recently been awarded a prestigious Platinum Medal in the 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment. This achievement positions JAS among the top 1% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis, one of the most recognized providers of corporate sustainability ratings worldwide.

Sustainability remains a continuous commitment for JAS, encompassing environmental, social, and governance issues across all operations and supply chains. The company collaborates closely with clients to measure transportation-related emissions and devises practical ways to reduce them, employing strategies such as route optimization, enhancing capacity, and adopting transportation options with lower emissions, including the introduction of certified biofuels.

In addition to prioritizing environmental performance, JAS emphasizes the health, safety, and well-being of its employees, fortifying ethical business practices, and working alongside suppliers to promote responsible practices throughout its supply chain. EcoVadis evaluates companies in four key areas, and JAS significantly improved its scores across all categories this year:

  • - Environment: 95/100 (up from 91)
  • - Labor and Human Rights: 88/100 (up from 74)
  • - Ethics: 87/100 (up from 83)
  • - Sustainable Procurement: 86/100 (up from 72)

The company’s environmental performance continues to be its strong suit. EcoVadis acknowledged JAS’s validated science-based targets, sourcing renewable electricity, energy efficiency initiatives, and the expansion of low-emission logistics solutions. Additionally, JAS’s greenhouse gas emissions are independently verified, enhancing the credibility of the data it presents.

Notably, the most significant improvements were observed within the Labor and Human Rights category and Sustainable Procurement, reflecting ongoing commitment to employee health, safety, and overall well-being, as well as advancements in responsible supply chain management. Andrea Goeman, Senior Vice President of Sustainability at JAS, noted, “Achieving the Platinum level and making improvements across all categories shows that our approach is being integrated into our daily work.”

She added, “This recognition belongs to our teams around the world and the partners we work with. We recognize there is still work to be done and will continue to strive for progress.”

The EcoVadis score for JAS has surged from 60 in 2024 to 79 in 2025, ultimately reaching an impressive 89 in 2026. For clients, this rating provides an independent perspective on how JAS manages sustainability-related risks and responsibilities, reflecting an ongoing effort to strengthen its practices and assist clients in making informed decisions regarding their supply chains.
