Enhancing Employee Safety Management through 'Interactive Safety Training'
Asahi Kogyo Co., Ltd., located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is dedicated to improving the safety management skills and risk sensitivity of its employees in the construction industry. To achieve this goal, the company recently conducted an innovative program called 'Interactive Safety Training' at various locations across Japan. This program was made possible through collaboration with Sugitaka Co., Ltd., a company that specializes in the rental of construction scaffolding and offers support in safety management.
The core of the training involved simulating dangerous scenarios that might occur on construction sites. Participants were engaged in a hands-on experience, where they could visually perceive, physically interact with, and experience the potential hazards directly. This practical approach aimed to enhance their sensitivity to various risks by emphasizing the importance of understanding the magnitude of impacts and the mechanisms that lead to accidents.
During the post-training discussions, participants actively exchanged opinions about concrete guidelines for preventing accidents and effective responses in emergencies, thereby deepening their shared understanding of safety measures.
