New Pioneer Collaboration in International Exchange Events in Shibuya
In a first of its kind collaboration, a prominent language school with over 50 years of history and a community-focused app initiated by a real estate company have joined hands to pioneer a new approach to international exchange events in Shibuya. The event, named "Local Cuisine Night: A Celebration of Global Comfort Foods," is set to occur on September 24, 2025, at the EF Tokyo School.
A Unique Event Concept
This event shines a light on the vibrant international culture in Shibuya and targets individuals who are keen on exploring different cultures while overcoming language barriers. It is tailored for anyone who may feel hesitant to dive into an English conversation but has a strong curiosity for global cultures. Participants will engage with international students currently learning Japanese and share their culinary experiences from their respective countries.
The event will feature 35 participants from diverse European countries including France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, the UK, Spain, and Italy. This diverse mix signifies the global harmony that such gatherings can foster, allowing everyone to connect over one common theme: local comfort foods. Each participant will have the opportunity to share photographs of favorite dishes from their homeland, making for a delightful and engaging experience.
Event Highlights
- - Collaboration between Established Entities: This marks the first-time partnership between EF Education First and the MABLs app, both aiming to reshape the international exchange landscape.

- - Free Admission: The event is entirely free, making it accessible for anyone willing to step into the world of international exchange.
