Empowering Students with Disabilities in South Korea
PERSOL Diverse Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the PERSOL Group which specializes in supporting the employment of people with disabilities, has partnered with PERSOL Korea, Ltd. to conduct an employment experience support program for students with disabilities in South Korea. The program, titled "BTS Global LEVEL UP Camp with PERSOL Diverse," took place over three days from September 9 to 11, 2025, and aimed to help young people with disabilities gain practical experience while enhancing their career prospects.
Background of the BTS Project
The program is part of a broader initiative dubbed the BTS (Booster for Talent's Success) Project that PERSOL Korea launched in 2023. The primary goal of this project is to create more career and employment opportunities for young individuals with disabilities. To date, the BTS Project has successfully facilitated over 250 job placements.
PERSOL Diverse has been an active supporter of PERSOL Korea's mission, engaging in various activities such as organizing visits for Korean corporate representatives to specialized employment support facilities and providing information on disabled employment initiatives. This collaborative program allows Korean students with disabilities to gain work experience and professional knowledge through the expertise of PERSOL Diverse, set against a global backdrop.
Program Overview and Achievements
During this edition of the program, five students with physical disabilities from South Korea participated in a series of workshops, workplace visits, and presentations about their findings.

- - Preparation for individual project presentations
Day 2: Company Visits

At the presentation event, employees from PERSOL Diverse who specialize in employment support for individuals with disabilities served as judges. The presentations surprised the judges, as participants articulated their project objectives and tasks clearly, even incorporating Japanese into their presentations, showcasing their high level of preparation despite limited time.

At the program's conclusion, participants shared uplifting sentiments about the impact of the experience. One student remarked about gaining insights into how individuals with disabilities are able to take on a wide range of jobs, broadening their horizons significantly. Another noted feeling encouraged about working and wanted to capitalize on their strengths in future opportunities. One of the participants expressed a newfound interest in jobs they had never considered, committing to put forth an effort greater than their non-disabled peers.
Future Aspirations
The program's facilitator, Senior Consultant Hong Sin-nam from PERSOL Diverse, expressed hope that the experience provided valuable reflections for participants on how to build their careers regardless of their challenges. Similarly, BTS Project leader Sohyun Kim emphasized the intention to continue creating opportunities for diverse youth to "level up" in cooperation with domestic and international businesses.
