A Taste of Hong Kong: Exclusive Pop-Up Sweets Event in Mitaka

The excitement for Hong Kong culinary delights is venturing into a brand new location with the opening of the limited-time sweets pop-up, "Hong Kong Sweets POPUP by Heigei Ginza." Scheduled to take place from March 16 to March 22, 2026, this enchanting event will be held in the Marui Family Mitaka as part of the vibrant Asian Festival, located in the 4th-floor event space.

Heigei Ginza, a renowned Hong Kong restaurant based in Tokyo's Ginza area and operated by Tanaka Corporation, has enchanted dessert lovers with its delightful offerings in past events, where over 7,800 sweet treats were sold. Their signature confection, the Butter Bolo Bun, achieved such popularity that it frequently sold out, drawing in numerous guests with its delectable taste.

Debut in Kanagawa's Mitaka Area

This event marks the first time the sweets pop-up is opening in the Kanagawa prefecture, and it continues its journey following its initial launch in Ginza in May 2025. Plans are underway for a "Heigei Ginza Hong Kong Sweets POPUP Tour" to introduce this culinary experience to various locations in Japan in the future.

Exciting Promotions for Early Visitors

To celebrate its debut in the Mitaka area, the pop-up will present complimentary logo stickers featuring a unique "MZK Mitaka Version" design for customers spending over 1,500 yen, offered on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the event. This thoughtful gesture invites visitors to enjoy this limited-edition sticker celebrating their experience and the community.

At the event, skilled artisans will be handcrafting each piece of Hong Kong sweets, ensuring an authentic taste for all attendees.
