Nicole S. Monson Takes on New Role



The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) has made a significant announcement, appointing Nicole S. Monson as its Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer. This decision underscores the organization's commitment to excellence in governance and strategic leadership within the enterprise.

Monson's role, effective immediately, will involve overseeing The ELC’s legal framework and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. She will also lead the human resources division, which is pivotal in nurturing talent and fostering an accountable organizational culture. This multifaceted position is designed to enhance collaboration across the board and ensure effective engagement with governance.

With over twenty years of extensive experience and a rich history in employment law, compliance, and human capital strategy, Monson is well-prepared to elevate The ELC's mission to a new level. At her previous position with The Estée Lauder Companies, she was the Senior Vice President of Equity Engagement. There, she was responsible for steering initiatives that supported talent development, workplace experience, and overall organizational integrity.

Michael C. Hyter, President and CEO of The ELC expressed his enthusiasm regarding Monson’s appointment. In her past role as SVP Deputy General Counsel at Estée Lauder, she successfully guided global teams across various domains, including employment law and workplace ethics, in addition to data privacy. Monson has provided critical counsel to senior management on varying topics, from regulatory compliance to the digital marketplace, emphasizing transformative acquisitions and growth.
