PolyAI Welcomes Sunil Shah as CFO to Enhance Enterprise Dialog Solutions

PolyAI Appoints Sunil Shah as Chief Financial Officer

PolyAI, a leader in enterprise dialog solutions, has announced the appointment of Sunil Shah as its Chief Financial Officer. This marks a significant step for the company as it aims to enhance its Agentic Dialog Platform—a system designed to facilitate complex conversations in real-time for enterprises and AI developers alike. Shah brings over two decades of experience in finance and technology, previously serving as a Senior Vice President at Rapid7.

Shah's experience in scaling software companies will play a critical role in supporting PolyAI's ambitions. His appointment comes at a time when the company is expanding its offerings, having recently launched Dialog-RSN-1, the fastest reasoning model available for real-time complex dialog, alongside Wren, an in-platform agent dedicated to continually improving dialog performance.

In his new role as CFO, Sunil Shah will manage PolyAI's global finance organization, which encompasses financial planning, accounting, treasury, and revenue operations. He will focus on the company's capital strategy, steering investments towards making the Agentic Dialog Platform more accessible to customers. Shah expressed excitement about the opportunity, stating that "with the advent of true dialog AI, every company needs to rethink how it engages with its customers." He believes that PolyAI's platform can empower businesses of all sizes to enhance customer engagement and achieve better business outcomes.

Under Shah's previous leadership at Rapid7, he successfully guided the company through substantial growth—from $300 million to $800 million in annual recurring revenue. His expertise also includes a rich background in strategic finance at Imperva, a leading firm in data and application security, where he played a pivotal role in its acquisition for over $2 billion. Prior to these operating roles, Shah worked as a technology investor with firms such as Surveyor Capital and Carlson Capital.

Nikola Mrkšić, CEO and co-founder of PolyAI, expressed confidence in Shah's capabilities, saying, "Sunil has helped steer software companies through the kind of growth we're heading into. We're thrilled to welcome him to the leadership team." He emphasized that enterprises are looking for a dialog platform that can grow with them over the years, highlighting Shah's dual perspective as both an operator and an investor as a significant asset.

PolyAI's mission is to revolutionize how enterprises communicate, powered by frontier technologies. The company’s platform has been proven effective in managing billions of conversations across diverse sectors, serving hundreds of enterprises operating in over 75 languages across 25 countries. Some of its notable clients include Metro Bank, Marriott, PGE, and UniCredit.

In conclusion, the appointment of Sunil Shah as CFO is a strategic move for PolyAI to better navigate the evolving landscape of enterprise dialog solutions. As the needs of businesses change, so too must the tools at their disposal, making Shah's leadership crucial in developing a framework that allows for ongoing improvement in customer engagement. As Shah steps into his new role, there is a palpable excitement about the potential advancements to come for PolyAI customers and partners alike.
