Proya Cosmetics Launches New Europe Innovation Center Laboratory in France, Strengthening Global Presence

Proya Cosmetics Strengthens International Presence with New Laboratory

On October 13, 2026, Proya Cosmetics celebrated the grand opening of its latest facility, the Europe Innovation Center Laboratory, located in Suresnes, France. This was a milestone event for the company, highlighting its commitment to expanding its international footprint and enhancing its local operations in Europe.

Having established the Proya Europe Innovation Center in La Défense, Paris back in 2024, the launch of this new laboratory marks a crucial progression in Proya's European strategy. The facility spans an impressive 450 square meters and is equipped with 76 state-of-the-art devices along with a dedicated team of seven researchers focused on advancing innovation in cosmetics.

Focus Areas and Synergies

The Suresnes laboratory aims to harness Europe’s rich scientific and technological expertise, specifically in the fields of longevity, skin biology, biotechnology, sustainable ingredients, and technologies. This facility will facilitate collaborations with Proya's R&D center in Hangzhou Longwu, China, which specializes in formulation, ingredient safety, and product efficacy research, as well as their Shanghai center, dedicated to hair care and scalp microbiome research.

Hou Juncheng, founder and president of Proya Cosmetics, expressed his enthusiasm at the inauguration, stating, “This Europe Innovation Center Laboratory bridges European and Chinese ecosystems by leveraging their combined strengths. This interaction will foster new innovation capabilities, allowing us to create more tailored consumer products.”

Connection to Global Events

The opening event attracted numerous scientific partners and institutional supporters, emphasizing the company’s proactive approach to building connections within the global cosmetics industry. Following the inauguration, Proya participated in COSMETIC 360, an international event focusing on the fragrance and cosmetics sectors, held at the Carrousel du Louvre on October 14 and 15. Here, Proya presented its research endeavors to over 5,500 attendees from 70 countries.

Participation in the Innovation Challenges at the event allowed Proya to explore collaborative opportunities regarding sustainable technologies and their applications within the cosmetics industry. The challenges this year revolved around REGENERATIONS, aiming to identify necessary R&D adaptations for new cosmetic solutions.

Additionally, Dr. Sun Peiwen, Proya's R&D and Innovation Director, delivered a keynote address titled “From Efficiency to Regeneration: An Integrated Model for Low Carbon Emission Cosmetic Manufacturing with Positive Resource Impact.” His insights on innovative R&D and smart manufacturing approaches underscored the company’s dedication to sustainability.

Dr. Lieve Declercq, the chief scientific advisor and vice president of Proya’s European Innovation Center, also contributed to discussions on open innovation, emphasizing the potential of global research networks and emerging technologies in transforming scientific breakthroughs into tangible consumer benefits.

Conclusion

The establishment of the Europe Innovation Center Laboratory signifies Proya Cosmetics' ongoing commitment to synergizing global scientific expertise with local innovation. By continuing to strengthen international research collaborations, Proya aims to bridge foundational science with practical applications, positioning itself as a leader in the beauty industry focused on scientific solutions that adapt to evolving consumer needs.
