CreatorWeek Macao 2025 Concludes, Celebrating the City as a Global Creative Hub
On October 28, 2025, CreatorWeek Macao 2025 wrapped up after five immersive days that celebrated Macao's emergence as a vibrant global creative hub. Co-organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Branded, this unique event brought together 185 content creator groups from various corners of the world. These creators, with a collective fanbase reaching nearly 2 billion, infused the city with fresh energy and garnered significant international attention.
Throughout the week, attendees engaged in a rich tapestry of cross-cultural collaborations while exploring Macao's fascinating blend of heritage and modernity. Their shared creative perspectives further elevated the image of Macao as a young, internationally appealing, and innovative tourist destination.
CreatorWeek offered an array of activities, including conferences, workshops, and live streaming, which aimed to foster partnerships and collaborative content creation. These gatherings highlighted Macao's rich cultural diversity and solidified its status as a cultural crossroads and a key player in the global creator economy.
The event kicked off and concluded with vibrant parties at Wynn Palace Macau, where over 250 creators, industry leaders, and guests came together. Prominent figures such as Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of MGTO, and Ben Wong, Google's Chief Operating Officer in China, were among the attendees, further solidifying Macao's profile on the global creative stage. Meanwhile, the CreatorWeek conferences at Grand Lisboa Palace Macao convened more than 600 participants to discuss market entry, global expansion, and trends in the creator economy, with executives from YouTube, Meta, and Gold House in attendance.
CreatorWeek also featured workshops focusing on wellness and creativity, led by popular creators like Matt Tralli and Jacky Cai, alongside fitness experts. This approach underscored the integration of creativity with mindfulness and lifestyle. Events held at The Londoner Macao attracted over 1,700 participants, facilitating meaningful connections between creators and audiences, including the likes of Steven He and popular groups such as Berywam and PSYCHIC FEVER.
In a distinct display of cultural exchange, two evenings of CreatorWeek Live at Galaxy Macau showcased performances by artists from South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, celebrating the essence of cultural interaction through music and dance. The CreatorWeek Academy welcomed about 120 emerging creators seeking hands-on training in content creation, audience engagement, and brand collaborations. Mentors included notable figures such as Jordan Hudson Matter, Mikey Bustos, and other industry leaders like Bing Chen and Benny Chu.
The Greater China project, Lei's Adventure, was noted for highlighting Macao's historical role as a gateway for China to the world through the Belt and Road Initiative. Mikey Bustos emphasized the immense power creators have to spread positivity and education globally through their talents. A special community tour connected 20 international creators with local ambassadors, enabling them to explore local neighborhoods, discover authentic cuisine, and create content that celebrates the city’s identity where East meets West.
Cheng Wai Tong, Acting Director of MGTO, pointed out that content creators are among today’s most impactful storytellers. Through their lenses and creativity, they convey multicultural tales, presenting a unique and innovative portrayal of Macao to hundreds of millions globally. This event not only inspires high-quality content but also generates substantial commercial value, propelling Macao’s creative economy toward a prosperous future and expanding its youth travel market.
Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes remarked on the shifting consumer behaviors and global communication dynamics, noting that the creator economy is a flourishing new sector rich with business value.
