Morinaga Contributes to Talent Development through Unique Rental Transfer Initiatives with Ventures

Morinaga's Innovative 'Rental Transfer' Initiative

In a groundbreaking move, Morinaga Confectionery, a prestigious name in the Japanese snack industry, has unleashed a novel strategy to boost talent development through rental transfer. This initiative partners with LoanDEAL, a company based in Tokyo, enabling employees to temporarily work at different organizations, specifically venture firms, while remaining affiliated with their original company.

Starting in April 2025, two Morinaga employees will embark on a rental transfer journey, with expectations to cultivate crucial skills in business development over the next year. This structure not only allows staff to grow in a new environment but also aims to accelerate innovation within Morinaga as it creates new business opportunities.

The Concept of Rental Transfer

The rental transfer program illustrates a paradigm shift in employee development. While traditional methods often involve static training or professional development within a single organization, Morinaga’s approach immerses its employees in real-world experiences in vibrant startup cultures. The employees will gain firsthand insights into agility and innovative thinking prevalent in venture markets.

The overarching goal is for these professionals to acquire the necessary skill sets and speed required in business development. This experiential learning can be invaluable as the candy giant strives to launch new ventures and remain relevant in a rapidly changing market.
