LX Pantos Celebrates the Inauguration of Its Logistics Center in Katowice, Poland
LX Pantos Celebrates New Logistics Hub in Katowice
LX Pantos, a leading integrated logistics company, recently hosted the inaugural ceremony for its substantial logistics center located in Katowice, Poland, on October 6, 2026. This event signifies a pivotal milestone in the firm’s expansion across Europe and highlights its commitment to enhancing its global logistics network through strategic investments.
Investment and Infrastructure
The Katowice logistics facility was jointly acquired with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and the PIS Fund No. 2, a governmental fund from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The total investment for the acquisition was approximately €140 million, supported by financing from the Korea Ocean Business Corporation, ensuring a stable financial structure for the project. The complex comprises five buildings with a total area of 109,000 square meters and is now successfully completed as a modern, large-scale logistics hub.
Located in Upper Silesia, Katowice is Poland's largest metropolitan area and serves as a strategic logistic junction at the intersection of essential East-West and North-South transport corridors connecting Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Northern Europe, and Southern Europe. The site's seamless access to highways, rail networks, and airports creates excellent conditions for intermodal logistics operations, positioning it as a critical gate for distribution across Europe.
Strategic Vision
LX Pantos envisions using the Katowice center as a strategic hub for its logistics operations in Eastern Europe. The company aims to enhance its services for large industrial clients, including those in the automotive supply chain, consumer goods, and home appliances, while also assisting Korean companies in their entry into the European market. Furthermore, this center is expected to play a central role in meeting the growing logistics demand in Eastern Europe and its neighboring regions.
The completion of the Katowice logistics center is highly significant for LX Pantos, as it secures a vital strategic point for connecting with Europe. The company reasserted its ongoing commitment to serve as a reliable partner for global supply chains of international businesses.
