LOFT GREEN PROJECT 2026: Embracing Sustainability
Starting January 13, 2026, LOFT will launch the LOFT GREEN PROJECT, a unique initiative designed to promote sustainable beauty and lifestyle choices across its stores nationwide. With deep roots since the fall of 2021, this program centers around a significant mission: "Using the power of everyday goods to create happiness for both our lives and the planet."
Campaign Overview
Every year, from January to February, LOFT engages in an intensified campaign named the "LOFT GREEN PROJECT MONTH." This year’s edition will feature products under three core themes:
environmental consideration,
support for people and communities, and
recycling initiatives. Customers will find an array of environmentally responsible items ranging from bento boxes to hair balms and mobile batteries that contribute to social and environmental good.
During this period, LOFT plans to showcase various innovative goods. For instance, a new
washable HAKOYA bento box (priced at 2,530 yen) will make meal prep convenient while also minimizing environmental impact. The bento box is crafted utilizing recyclable PET resin and boasts a unique lacquered finish derived from traditional Yamanaka lacquerware techniques.
Additionally, a newly launched
木物語 sharp pencil comes in six colors and incorporates forest-certified wood, ensuring a sustainable stationery choice (594 yen each). Customers can also look forward to an
oversized reset sheet box that contains gentle exfoliating sheets infused with fermented beauty agents (2,970 yen).
Beyond these products, the project includes an exciting collaboration with the beloved Swedish character Pippi Longstocking to produce an eco-conscious toothbrush set made from bio-materials (1,815 yen).
Supporting Communities
LOFT GREEN PROJECT 2026 not only focuses on environmental sustainability but also aims to uplift local communities. Exclusive products like the
Muscat of Alexandria body splash utilize local agricultural byproducts, echoing the brand's commitment to social responsibility (1,760 yen). Other products include a
rich butter balm made with certified shea butter from Burkina Faso (2,090 yen) and a unique
CO2 face pack that features organic green lemon extracts from Ehime (3,481 yen).
Moreover, LOFT recognizes the importance of advancing modern technological solutions, evidenced by their introduction of a sodium-ion mobile battery (9,981 yen), designed without cobalt or lithium, thus prioritizing ethical production methods.
Recycling Programs
A cornerstone of the LOFT GREEN PROJECT is its engagement with recycling efforts. Collaborating with 45 partner brands through its “LOFT Green Project Recycling Program,” LOFT has initiated the collection of used cosmetic containers across all 186 stores. By December 2025, this program successfully recovered over 7,291 kilograms of material, demonstrating LOFT's commitment to minimizing waste.
The brand is also actively involved in textile recycling, enhancing its programs since symbiotic environmentalism continues to play a crucial role in its approach. The
