In today's fast-paced society, the significance of human capital management is on the rise, compelling companies to focus on nurturing individual employee growth and enhancing organizational flexibility. On August 3, 2025, CORNER Inc. is hosting a workshop designed for parents and their children at the Shibuya Cultural Center Daikanyama, aiming to explore the intersection of human resource perspectives and educational experiences.

The workshop invites families to collaboratively engage in activities reflecting on shared values, and how they can achieve goals while respecting diverse perspectives. The initiative is inspired by the increasing demand for nurturing skills that foster cooperation, problem-solving, and effective communication—essential competencies in both educational settings and the workplace. Unfortunately, there remains a gap in Japan's corporate investment in human capital development, overshadowed by material investments, highlighting the need for innovative approaches in HR practices.

Workshop Overview


The primary goal of the workshop is to provide parents and children with practical experiences that can deepen their understanding of teamwork and communication. Activities will allow participants to reflect on essential values for an enjoyable and cooperative life, exploring questions such as, "How can we ensure everyone feels comfortable?" and "How do we work together to reach our goals?" Moreover, introducing children’s fresh perspectives can inspire adults working in human resources to adopt creative methods for team building and talent development.

Program Details


  • - Date and Time: August 3, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
  • - Location: Shibuya Cultural Center Daikanyama, 23-21 Sakuragaoka-cho, Shibuya, Tokyo (5-minute walk from Shibuya Station)
  • - Target Audience: Children in grades 3 to 6 and their parents
  • - Participation Fee: Free (includes a planetarium viewing ticket)
  • - Capacity: Approximately 10 parent-child pairs per session

Program Highlights


1. Creating Family “Mission, Vision, and Values”: Families will articulate what is important to them, collaboratively developing rules and slogans aimed at promoting family happiness. Children will have the chance to simulate scenario-based rule-making and vision crafting, mirroring a corporate environment.
2. Becoming a Bakery Manager: Participants will role-play as bakery managers, creating recruitment flyers for ideal employees. They will learn to communicate an establishment's charm and job appeal while actively engaging in team-building exercises. Parents will act as coaches, helping children articulate their ideas and experiences, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of working together.

Registration Process


To register, fill out the application form available on our website. The deadline for registration is July 8, 2025. Spaces are limited, and a lottery may be employed if interest exceeds capacity. Participants will receive detailed information closer to the event date.
