In December 2024, the Plan Youth Group, in collaboration with the international NGO Plan International, conducted a survey involving 1,000 high school students in Japan. The survey focused on the critical topic of sexual consent, aiming to uncover the current state of knowledge and understanding among youths. With significant reforms in Japan's criminal law emphasizing the necessity of consent in sexual activities, this survey's findings illuminate the persistent issues within educational settings regarding sexual consent awareness and education.
