Starting from July 24, 2025, Hakone Soba, operated by Odakyu Restaurant System, will unveil its summer special menu, offering a luxurious taste of seasonal flavors. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the collaboration with Iwashita Foods, featuring the iconic
Iwashita Shinshoga® in various innovative dishes. Customers will be able to enjoy three delectable items that make the most of summer's bounty:
Iwashita Shinshoga® Mini Kakiage Tempura with Hamo Tempura,
Soba with Pork and Fried Eggplant Topped with Poached Egg, and
Tuna Tataki Rice Bowl Set.

1. Iwashita Shinshoga® Mini Kakiage Tempura with Hamo Tempura (Soba or Udon) - ¥690
This dish beautifully combines the refreshing aroma and gentle spiciness of
Iwashita Shinshoga® with exquisite hamo (conger eel) tempura, providing a rich seasonal delight. Served with both soba and udon options, it is available in both hot and cold varieties for your preference.
2. Soba with Pork and Fried Eggplant Topped with Poached Egg (Soba or Udon) - ¥690
Packed with fatigue-fighting benefits, this dish features tender pork paired with the creamy texture of fried eggplant and topped with a perfectly poached egg. It’s the perfect remedy for those summer blues, delivering nourishment and flavor in every bite. This option, too, is available in hot or cold preparations.
3. Tuna Tataki Rice Bowl Set (Soba or Udon) - ¥800
Enjoy a generous serving of concentrated flavor with a tuna tataki rice bowl, accompanied by a side of refreshing soba. This set offers a filling yet light meal, ideal for enjoying on warm summer days, with the choice of either hot or cold soba and udon.
Note: While the Iwashita Shinshoga® Mini Kakiage Tempura with Hamo Tempura is offered at all Hakone Soba locations, the other two dishes may not be available at every store.
