Shaping Career Perspectives through Experiential Learning
On November 14, 2025, La Vista Hakodate Bay will host a unique job experience program titled
DOMINISTA CHALLENGE, aimed at middle school students from Aoyagi Junior High School in Hakodate City. Organized by Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd., a key player in the hospitality industry operating business hotels like Dormy Inn and resort hotels under the Kyoritsu Resort brand, this initiative seeks to foster career awareness and appreciation for local community roles among young participants.
About the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE
The
DOMINISTA CHALLENGE program has been in operation since 2019, catering to junior and senior high school students across the country. The program is designed to give participants firsthand experience in various hotel operations, including customer service at the front desk, cleaning, and bed-making tasks. By interacting with guests visiting their hometown, students gain insights into the significance of service work and the impact of teamwork and support in any profession. This program embodies a contemporary understanding of multicultural coexistence, offering students a living lesson in diversity, which is critical in today’s globalized society. To date, over 80 schools have participated, with 34 schools from the Hokkaido and Tohoku regions requesting this immersive experience as part of their career education.
