On June 13, 2025, Watering Corporation, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, took part in a significant career design lecture at Tottori University of Environmental Studies. This event saw approximately 350 enthusiastic students gather to learn about the various career avenues available in water infrastructure. As a valuable addition to the course titled 'Career Design B,' this lecture aimed to enlighten students about diverse job roles and the various paths they might pursue after graduating.

Background and Objectives


Tottori University offers a career design program so that students can deepen their understanding of what it means to work, starting from their early years. The current year's guest lecture, now in its third iteration, was aimed at second-year students and featured professionals from various industries who shared insights into their careers. Watering Corporation's lecture focused particularly on the roles undertaken by private enterprises in supporting water-related infrastructure.

This session aimed to spark interest among students in pursuing a career in the water infrastructure sector by highlighting the vital work done by technicians on the front lines of this industry. On the lecture day, around 350 students were present, eager to learn about Watering Corporation's business activities and industry trends. Highlighting real-world experiences, an alumnus of Tottori University, who currently works at a wastewater treatment facility in Miyazaki Prefecture, also shared his career journey. His candid discussions about valuable lessons learned and realizations during his employment resonated strongly with the students. The real-life anecdotes served as a powerful inspiration, allowing many attendees to envision their future careers in a tangible way. As a result, the Q&A session that followed was particularly lively, with students actively engaging with questions.
