At the recent Shanghai Auto Show, held on April 23, 2025, Chery Auto made waves with the introduction of its ambitious international strategy, themed "Navigating Towards the Future." The company aims to reach an impressive annual global sales target of 1 million vehicles within the next two years. With a commitment to its core values of 'Safety and Family Orientation,' Chery is dedicated to advancing hybrid technologies while enhancing its local operations, striving to be a reliable choice for family-oriented products globally. Innovations in technology and a broader product range are part of its vision to become a 'global technological leader.'
During the event, Chery showcased its Super Hybrid (CSH) models, including TIGGO7 CSH, TIGGO8 CSH, and the flagship TIGGO9 CSH. Before the show, the company successfully completed the first phase of the endurance challenge, named "Worry-Free Voyage across the Infinite Horizon," where the TIGGO9 CSH and ARRIZO8 CSH set remarkable records by achieving an impressive range of over 1,400 kilometers and maintaining a remarkably low fuel consumption of just 4.2 liters per 100 kilometers.
Further reinforcing its family-centric ethos, Chery initiated initiatives like the safety program "Mission Impossible" and "Life Without Limits," designed to offer exceptional mobility experiences for families everywhere. In 2024, Chery recorded a global sales figure of 640,000 units, with the TIGGO7 emerging as the best-selling Class A SUV. The brand has also made successful inroads into the European market, undergirded by a comprehensive international R&D network comprising eight research centers, ten production bases, and regional component hubs. This strategy emphasizes the philosophy of "In somewhere, For somewhere," tailoring solutions to the demands of local markets and solidifying its globalization strategy.
As Chery commences expansion into new segments, it unveiled the all-new HIMLA pickup series inspired by the Himalayas, engineered for off-road driving and diverse conditions. This series features gasoline and diesel engines, as well as new powertrains, pushing the pickup category toward passenger-oriented transformations within the premium segment. This move diversifies Chery's global product lineup even further.
Chery also introduced its innovative artificial intelligence solutions, including the AiMOGA robot and a robotic dog, illustrating its vision for the future of mobility. With a focus on family, robust global R&D potential, and a diverse product strategy, the company paves a clear path for development. This strategic event might mark a pivotal moment as it sets out to compete with top automakers around the globe.
