Since its inception by the Japan Design Bank in 2016, the Bud Brand initiative has showcased cutting-edge projects at Milan Design Week and continues this tradition by offering an impressive platform for young talent.
Overview of Bud Brand Initiative
The Bud Brand Award focuses on fostering creativity, catering to students and young creators aged 35 and under. The award has received over 100 submissions this year, showcasing eight outstanding projects during Milan Design Week. Ainico Group is proud to announce that it sponsored the award, choosing to recognize the work of Yunosuke Hara from Musashino Art University for his innovative "Slits Stool."
Successful Exhibition at Tortona
This year’s exhibition was held in the bustling Tortona district, famous for its concentration of creative venues including Superstudio, a popular spot during the Milan Design Week. The Tortona Rocks area hosted multiple presentations from various businesses and individuals, attracting over 10,000 visitors in just one week. This demonstrates the vibrant interest and enthusiasm for innovative design.
Upcoming Events in Fukuoka
As part of the Bud Brand Award activities, a report meeting and exhibition will take place in Fukuoka from June 29 to July 2. The venue, Fremtiden, located at 1-10-19 Meihama Station South, Fukuoka, will feature the awarded works daily from 10:30 AM to 7 PM. The report meeting is scheduled for July 2, starting at 4:30 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the award and interact with the young creators involved.
