New Collaborative Program Links Students and Businesses in Kitakyushu
A groundbreaking workshop is set to take place on December 13, 2025, in Kitakyushu, Japan, organized by Mirai Kurulab, a company based in Chiyoda City, Tokyo. This event, titled "Kitakyushu Students & Businesses Co-Creation Workshop: Discovering Your Assets in a 1-Day Program," aims to foster collaboration between local students and businesses while nurturing the next generation of professionals in the region. The venue for this significant event will be ATOMica Kitakyushu, located in Kokurakita Ward, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Event Overview
The workshop is designed for high school freshmen to university seniors, with a maximum participant capacity of 20 students. It is a free event, and those interested can sign up via the designated application form until December 10, 2025.
During the program, students will engage in interactive card games with local business representatives, allowing them to explore and articulate their unique strengths and skills from a professional perspective. This workshop is particularly beneficial for students feeling uncertain about their career paths, providing them with the opportunity to rediscover their individuality and learn how to effectively communicate their strengths to potential employers.
The event will follow a structured three-step format: beginning with self-analysis activities, then progressing to collaborative card-game sessions with business representatives, and concluding with brainstorming sessions where participants develop actionable plans together. This setup promotes both personal growth and professional readiness among the participants.
Background of the Event
This initiative is part of the "Reiwa 7 Corporate Transformation, Startup, and Growth Support Project" by the Kitakyushu City Government, which selected Mirai Kurulab as a supporting enterprise. The event falls under the larger project termed "Academee Kitakyushu," aimed at empowering local Generation Z participants to think proactively about their careers and their connection to the community.
What is Academee?
The Academee program transforms actual business operations into educational materials, allowing students to engage in paid internships that offer genuine workplace experience. Through this experience, students can explore their career options while learning about local job opportunities, ultimately igniting a greater interest in the community and fostering a spirit of collaboration for future development. From 2025 onwards, Mirai Kurulab will partner with local businesses, governments, and organizations to reimagine contracted work as valuable learning opportunities for students, merging education with real-world experience.
