Genesis and Genesis Inspiration Foundation Enhance STEAM Education in Southern California

Genesis and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation Working to Empower Youth Through STEAM

In a notable effort to foster a new generation of creative thinkers, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation, in partnership with Genesis Motor America, has committed to enhancing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and arts education across Southern California. This initiative is aimed at bridging educational gaps and ensuring that young minds have the opportunities they need to explore and develop their talents.

Recently, the Foundation made headlines with a generous donation of $100,000 to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, a respected nonprofit organization that uses the performing arts to transform lives. The Academy offers a variety of dance disciplines, catering to students as young as four years old. This substantial grant will support various programs, including ballet, hip hop, and musical theater, allowing students to dive deeper into the arts and uncover their passion for creative expression.

Brandon Ramirez, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Genesis Motor America, expressed the organization’s vision, stating, "At Genesis, we believe in the power of creativity. By opening doors to creative learning opportunities that nurture diverse talents, we're honored to help students explore passions and unlock their full potential both in and beyond the classroom."

In addition to the grant to the dance academy, Genesis organized a hands-on STEAM workshop at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, catering to nearly 50 elementary and middle school students. This workshop, done in collaboration with the Child Creativity Lab, introduced participants to the intricacies of product development and offered insight through advanced technology demonstrations. A highlight of the event was showcasing the electrified Genesis GV60, which piqued the students' interest in mobility and future technologies.

The engaging curriculum allowed students to use upcycled materials to conceptualize and construct their own mobility vehicles, inspiring creativity and problem-solving skills critical in today’s world.

The corporate social responsibility initiative known as Genesis Gives is foundational to the brand's community outreach, emphasizing the organization's commitment to supporting under-resourced communities. Since its inception, Genesis Gives has allocated over $2 million to promote youth sports and STEAM education across the nation, directly impacting lives and encouraging the pursuit of innovative skills among young individuals.

The genesis of the Genesis Inspiration Foundation, founded in 2018, is a notable example of commitment to arts education. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization strives to improve educational outcomes through access to quality arts programs. By funding initiatives that engage children in creative pursuits, the foundation has awarded more than $13 million in grants to expand youth arts opportunities at museums, schools, and community organizations nationwide.
