Chery's TIGGO7 and TIGGO8: Redefining Family Mobility Across Europe Starting in Poland

Chery Launches TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 to Transform Family Mobility in Europe

On June 30, 2025, Chery Automobile held a significant brand and product launch event in Warsaw, Poland, marking the company's official entry into the European automotive market. This debut featured two of Chery’s globally recognized SUV models: the TIGGO7, dubbed the "Urban Champion Family SUV," and the larger TIGGO8, known as the "5+2 Exclusive Intelligent SUV." Both models offer a choice between Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) options, showcasing Chery's commitment to modern mobility solutions.

Chery has established itself as China’s leading automobile exporter over the past 22 years, serving more than 16 million customers in over 120 countries and regions. With a robust infrastructure that includes eight international R&D centers and a talented team of over 13,000 engineers, Chery is strategically positioned for growth in Europe. The company’s new strategy, titled "In Europe, for Europe," is centered on understanding local market demands and delivering mobility solutions that epitomize the values of "green," "technology," "family," and "companionship."

The TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 are built to meet rigorous global safety standards, featuring sturdy cage-like structures and advanced Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that collectively cover five crucial driving scenarios. The TIGGO8’s innovative "5+2" seating configuration can expand the cargo area to an impressive 1,930 liters. Meanwhile, the compact TIGGO7 boasts a flexible storage capacity ranging from 500 liters to 1,305 liters, both models designed with elegant interiors that cater to diverse user requirements.

At the core of Chery's strategy for the European hybrid market is its newly developed Chery Super Hybrid (CSH), which features a highly efficient hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of 46.5%. The advanced Dual-Mode Electric Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and high-performance batteries are engineered to achieve fuel consumption rates of less than 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers in electricity-depleted mode. With a maximum hybrid power output of 280 kW and an engine speed of 24,000 RPM, the drivetrain promises best-in-class performance while maintaining optimal efficiency under all driving conditions.

Moreover, the Guardian Battery Safety System presents leading-edge safety measures through instant power cut-off within just two milliseconds, operating within an extensive temperature range of -35°C to 60°C, and boasting an IP68 certified durability. This paradigm shifts the safety and reliability standard in hybrid vehicles, setting Chery apart in a competitive marketplace.

Chery’s unveiling in Poland lays the groundwork for further European expansion, with future launches scheduled for countries including Greece, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Hungary. The company is anticipating that the TIGGO7 and TIGGO8, currently undergoing stringent Euro NCAP safety assessments, will achieve top ratings, further solidifying their premium positioning and helping to accelerate Chery's market presence in Europe.

This comprehensive focus on safety, capability, and innovation marks an exciting new chapter for Chery as it seeks to strengthen its foothold in the European automotive landscape.
