Hitachiota City and Palsystem Embark on Childcare Support Partnership

Hitachiota City and Palsystem Join Forces for Childcare

On January 22, 2026, Hitachiota City, led by Mayor Kenji Fujita, and Palsystem Ibaraki Tochigi, represented by Chairperson Yasuyo Aoki, signed a collaborative agreement aimed at supporting childcare in the community. The signing ceremony took place at the Hitachiota City Hall, marking a significant step towards enhancing the environment for raising children in the area.

Under this partnership, the city will distribute a special gift box called "Omedetou Bako" to families with infants aged 6 to 7 months during maternal consultations. The gift box will include important childcare products such as baby soap, disposable diaper bags, and ready-to-drink liquid milk, all sourced from Palsystem's delivery service. This initiative ensures that families receive solid support right at the beginning of their parenting journey.

Palsystem will be responsible for hand-delivering these gift boxes directly to applicants. This unique collaboration emphasizes the cooperative's role in nurturing local families by providing both the essential products and the delivery service. Notably, the distribution will also include informational materials that guide families toward existing childcare support organizations and consultation services in the area.

The implementation of this agreement reinforces a larger trend; since last year, the city has successfully established 19 similar partnerships with various local governmental bodies aimed at bolstering childcare support across the region. This growing network signifies a community-wide commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for all children.
