Experience the Future of Fan Engagement with Immersive Oshi-Katsu

A Revolutionary Fan Experience: "Immersive Oshi-Katsu"

In a collaboration that is changing the landscape of fan engagement, design company Concent and the entertainment space Graffity have unveiled an innovative live experience titled "Immersive Oshi-Katsu." This breakthrough experience incorporates high-resolution holographic performances of the idol group LiVS, effectively combining immersive video technology with hand tracking features to offer fans an unprecedented level of interaction.

Scheduled to launch on November 15 and 16, 2025, at the XR-centric venue "NEUU," operated by Odakyu Electric Railway, this event promises to redefine how fans connect with their favorite idols. The immersive experience is aimed at enhancing fan engagement by leveraging cutting-edge technology to develop a new culture in the fandom market, which has been estimated to be worth approximately 3.9 trillion yen annually.

Creating a New Culture of 'Oshi-Katsu'

The term 'Oshi-Katsu' refers to activities that fans engage in to support their favorite idols. As the market for such activities rapidly grows, innovative approaches are continuously sought after. With the "Immersive Oshi-Katsu" experience, fans will not only watch their idols perform but also interact with them in real-time through visual effects that respond to their movements. This fusion of entertainment and interactivity aims to create a vibrant new culture in the fandom community.

The team at Concent, known for their expertise in visual performance and immersive design, has led the direction, filming, and editing of high-resolution live performances like "Believe" and "JUST ONCE" by LiVS. Graffity, which is responsible for the application development, is collaborating closely with Concent and Odakyu to bring this immersive experience to life.

An Unmatched Visual Experience Featuring Cutting-Edge Technology

Participants at the event will wear the Apple Vision Pro, a type of MR (Mixed Reality) headset described as a "spatial computer." This state-of-the-art technology integrates immersive video with hand-tracking capabilities, allowing fans to enjoy LiVS's live performances interactively. Notably, the immersive video captured by the world’s first professional camera system designed for use with the Apple Vision Pro, the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive, delivers stunning 16K resolution at 90 frames per second. This level of detail creates the illusion that the members are performing right in front of the viewer, adding a unique sense of intimacy.

Immersive Interactivity

One of the most exciting aspects of the "Immersive Oshi-Katsu" experience is the hand-tracking technology, which enables the audience to add visual effects to the performance through their gestures. Whether it's making a heart shape with their fingers or waving their hands to create a light effect, this interactive feature allows fans to express their feelings and connect with their idols in a dynamic way. Attendees can experience a sense of involvement as if they're part of the performance itself, creating a community atmosphere where fans contribute to the show in real-time.

Meet the Idols: LiVS

LiVS, short for "Life is Very Short," is a four-member idol group consisting of members Konni Chihakuru, Suzukas Tera, Mini Marco, and Ran Ru. They stand out from traditional kawaii idols by focussing on a more rock and pop-oriented musical style. Their commitment to quality performances resonates strongly within the music scene, enhancing their appeal to fans seeking deeper connections.

Members of LiVS have expressed their excitement about this immersive experience. Konni remarked, "It’s incredible to be able to see our fans so closely, even down to the wrinkles on their foreheads!" Suzukas added, "It’s so amazing that you could easily forget to close your mouth while watching!" Mini noted how the technology allows for a realistic representation of her stage presence, saying, "Even from the second row, I can’t believe how real it feels—come see the sparkle in my makeup!" Ran concluded, "I didn’t know we were this cute! I’m sure I’ll end up dancing alongside our fans!"
