Celebrate the Festive Season with Grand Hyatt Tokyo's Exquisite Takeout Platters and Osechi

Celebrate the Festive Season with Grand Hyatt Tokyo

As the year draws to a close, Grand Hyatt Tokyo (Minato, Tokyo) introduces a luxurious culinary experience with its upscale takeout plates and osechi, launching on December 1, 2025. Curated from the hotel’s four renowned restaurants, these offerings promise to enhance your festive gatherings.

A Taste of Luxury

One standout option is the Signature Platter from the Chinese Restaurant “China Room.” This beautifully presented dish comes in a redesigned octagonal container, symbolizing prosperity and adorned with the mythical phoenix—a bird that brings good fortune in Chinese culture. This two-tier platter includes 24 selections, including the famous Peking Duck and delicious dim sum, elevating your home dining experience with high-quality ingredients like abalone and Ise lobster.

What’s on the Menu?

The revitalized platter features both classic favorites and new creations crafted by the chef. Highlights include:
  • - Chilled Steamed Chicken with scallion and ginger sauce
  • - Hong Kong-style BBQ Pork
  • - Spicy Sauce with Scallops
  • - Deep-fried Soft Shell Crab with garlic
  • - Stir-fried Ise Lobster in chili and mayonnaise

Gather friends and family to enjoy a delightful array of flavors that Chinese cuisine is known for in a warm, festive setting.

Traditional Japanese Osechi Selections

This year also marks the return of the popular osechi options, with two varieties to choose from. The New Year Osechi Selection combines 11 favorites from the hotel’s various dining outlets. For example, enjoy the Szechuan-style Dandan Chicken from China Room, Cuban Wrap from The Oak Door steakhouse, and Foie Gras Praline from the All-Day Dining “French Kitchen.” This selection is also perfect for pairing with Champagne, bringing a touch of elegance to your celebrations.

For a taste of authentic Japanese New Year cuisine, the “Three-Tier Osechi” is masterfully crafted by the head chef of Japanese restaurant “Shunbou.” This exquisite offering features traditional ingredients symbolizing longevity and prosperity, such as Ise lobster and Wagyu beef, along with skillfully prepared dishes including:
  • - Stewed Moroko Fish with Kombu
  • - Black Bean and Chestnut Misozuke
  • - Grilled Buri Fish with Yuzu Sauce

The intricate presentation and delicate flavors of this osechi will provide a beautiful centerpiece for your New Year celebrations.
