Gravity has made an exciting announcement, marking the official release of the PC version of the acclaimed roguelike text adventure,
Shambles: Sons of the Apocalypse, available now on Steam. Following a fantastic launch on mobile devices, where it quickly climbed to the second spot among the top paid games on Google Play, this addition has generated significant buzz and high expectations within the gaming community and industry alike.
The Steam version of
Shambles is not just a direct port; it comes packed with the complete base game along with seven downloadable content (DLC) packs. Players will also find a fresh, challenging difficulty level designed specifically for seasoned players. The release is further complemented by post-launch content that promises the unveiling of previously inaccessible areas, which will be unlocked in future updates.
The gameplay of
Shambles provides a unique experience, blending RPG mechanics with text-based narratives and card-based deck-building elements. Players embark on a journey shaped by branching narratives, where their in-game decisions directly impact the protagonist’s fate. The combat system operates on a turn-based mechanism, allowing players to utilize skills and cards from their initial decks strategically. As players progress through the game, they can develop their characters through stat enhancements, gear collections, and various progression systems.
Released globally on June 26, the PC version of
Shambles has already made waves, now being available at a retail price of $19.99. The game comes with complete support in multiple languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. In celebration of its launch, players can enjoy a 10% discount until July 10.
Jun Yoo, the console director at Gravity, shared his thoughts on the game’s reception, stating, "We believe
Shambles has resonated with players due to its unique blend of genres and rich storytelling, which has thrived through word-of-mouth. The new PC version not only includes the complete main game and all DLC but introduces a brand new difficulty mode for an even more thrilling experience. We are devoted to the discovery and delivery of a wide range of creative and engaging titles like
Shambles, and we ask for your continued interest and support for the PC version as well."
