In an important development for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Dorri McWhorter has announced her resignation as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 28, 2025. Following McWhorter's departure, Sheila Nelson has been appointed as the Interim CEO. She has been part of the YMCA's Board of Managers since 2020 and brings a strong background from her previous leadership roles at UnitedHealth Group.
